All shops are required to accept payment only in BAM (Bosnian local currency), you can change your EURO in any of the local banks. Bank working hours and days are listed below:
Monday-Friday: 08:00-17:00
Saturday: 08:00-13:00
Please make sure to exchange you money when you arrive, you can also do that at the airport, and in most of the local post offices.
Visa, Mastercard, and most of the major credit cards are widely acceptable.
The three main transport methods in the city of Sarajevo are:
Tram: ticket 1.6 BAM (if bought from kiosk), 1.8 BAM (if bought from tram driver)
Bus: ticket 1.6 BAM (bought from the bus driver)
Taxi: meter opens @1.5 BAM, always request they start the meter if they do not on their own
